Magic and Abilities

Natsu is capable of using a lost branch of magic known as Fire Dragon Slayer which was taught to him by his foster-father,Igneel. This magic allows Natsu to transform his body's physiology to that of a fire dragon, enabling him to breathe fire and envelop his body in flames to increase his destructive power. As a Dragon Slayer, he also possesses a hypersensitive sense of smell and the capability to consume his own element, fire, to restore his stamina though he cannot ingest his own flames.

After eating Aetherion and Jellal's Flame of Rebuke, Natsu entered a state called "Dragon Force", which is said to be the highest level of Dragon Slayer magic, where his skin became scaly similiar to a dragon and his strength and speed increased drastically allowing him to launch incredibly powerful flame attacks.

• Fire Dragon's Roar : Natsu is capable of breathing flames over large distances in order to attack enemies.
• Fire Dragon's Iron Fist : Enveloping his fist in fire, Natsu increases his punch's destructive power.

• Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame : A simultaneous attack with Natsu creating fireballs on both fists and striking the enemy.
• Fire Dragon's Blazing Elbow : Natsu ignites his elbow, which creates propulsion to augment the force of his punch.
• Crimson Fire Dragon Fist : Natsu launches a flurry of punches at his opponent, creating an explosion with each connecting hit.
• Fire Dragon's Destructive Fang : An attack where Natsu attempts to pierce and slash the enemy with a blazing hand.
